I am so excited that we can finally return to the pool and start getting back to some kind of normal next week. So that we can continue with our swimming lessons safely we need to follow some new procedures. Please have a read through and make sure that you have familiarised yourself with the new rules. 

• • Don’t attend your swimming lessons if you or your child have any symptoms of Covid-19, symptoms include, a high temperature, a new persistent cough and loss or changes to your sense of taste or smell. 
• • Spectators are not allowed on site so please come to lessons alone. 
• • When on the school site and in the changing rooms, please ensure that social distancing rules are being followed and face coverings must be worn. 
• • Access to the changing rooms will be limited to 5 minutes before your lesson so please arrive as “Pool Ready” as possible, for example costumes/trunks on under your clothes. 
• • Wash or sanitise your hands as soon as you enter the changing room. 
• • Numbers will be limited in the changing room 
• • Bring a large bag with you so that once you are changed you can put all of your belongings in the bag, you can then bring it poolside with you. 
• • Wipe down your changing area with cleaning products provided before you enter the pool and before you leave. 
• • When you enter the pool area you will be instructed where to wait. 
• • Please wait for the previous class to exit the pool before you enter, if possible, enter the water from the side of the pool. Dianne and I will have face mask and shields and will be able to help you into the pool if needed. 
• • During the session you will have your own equipment, supplied by me, to use during the session, please do not share with other swimmers in the group. At the end of the session, we need to sanitise the equipment used by holding it under the water for 20 seconds, the levels of chlorine in the pool are enough to kill the virus. 
• • If your child likes to use a swim jacket or shark fin, please bring it along to your session. 
• • Unfortunately, Dianne and I are not allowed in the water with you, hopefully this will change soon! 
• • Once the session is finished you will exit the pool the same side that you entered, get your belongings and exit the pool area. 
• • After the session, please change as quickly as possible so that you spend minimal time in the changing room, onesie and dressing gowns are great to pop onto little ones before you leave. 
• • Showers will be unavailable so please shower at home, if you need to use the toilet, please spray it with cleaning products provided. 

Please don’t worry about the procedures, they will quickly become the new normal and Dianne and I will be there to help and guide you through your session.

Following the government's announcement yesterday and Swim England's advice today see here, I have made the very difficult decision to suspend all swimming lessons with immediate effect. I hope that we will be able to return after the Easter holidays on the 20th April 2020 but will continue to follow the Government's and Swim England's advice and this will possibly be extended until May 2020. Credits will be issued for you to use towards the Summer Term.

In light of the current Covid-19 situation, I would like to assure all of my swimmers that your health and safety is most important to me. I have been monitoring the situation closely and will continue to do so daily. The advice from Swim England and Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG) is that all training should continue at the moment https://www.pwtag.org/. Please could I remind you to follow the NHS hygiene guidelines to help stop the spread of the virus and if you or your child are showing any signs or symptoms not to attend lessons https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/. I am pleased to say that we have 2 new baby classes starting week commencing the 13th May 2019 at Drayton Junior School, the classes are:

Monday 13th May @ 11.30am - suitable for babies 12 weeks to 12 months old

Friday 17th May @ 2pm - suitable for babies 12 weeks to 12 months old

We are offering free taster sessions to babies and pre school children! If you would like to see what Pollywiggle swim school is all about, come and try one of our classes for free!
